Marshall Health Network – Rivers Health announced the successful completion of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) reaccreditation inspection at the Rivers Health laboratory.

The CAP inspection process, which occurs every two years, includes an on-site assessment by trained peer inspectors who review the laboratory’s quality management system, technical competency and operational practices.

“This reaccreditation is a testament to the dedication, expertise and attention to detail our laboratory team brings to their work every day,” said Matthew Brooks, MLS(ASCP)CM, director of clinical laboratory services for Marshall Health Network. “The Rivers Health laboratory plays a key role in providing highly reliable rural health care to the Mason County area.”

Preparation for the inspection was a collaborative effort, with key support from lab medical director Saroj Sigdel, M.D.; lab manager Kyle Chapman; and lab quality assurance coordinator Kevin Young.

The successful reaccreditation underscores Marshall Health Network’s ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and regulatory compliance.
