Marshall Health Network–Cabell Huntington Hospital (CHH) has once again been recognized for excellence in neurodiagnostic care with its fourth consecutive five-year accreditation renewal from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) EEG Laboratory Accreditation Board (LAB-EEG).

This reaccreditation underscores CHH’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and technical excellence in neurodiagnostic services.

“This accreditation reflects the dedication and professionalism of our neurodiagnostic team,” said Tim Martin, president of CHH. “We are very proud to uphold the quality and standards required for this accreditation, which ensures our patients receive exceptional neurologic care close to home.”

Cabell Huntington Hospital is one of only two EEG laboratories in West Virginia currently accredited by ABRET, highlighting the hospital’s leadership in neurological care and its commitment to clinical excellence.

“Being one of only two accredited EEG labs in the state is no small feat,” said Eric Stephens, R.EEG T, CLTM, CNIM, R.NCS.T, CNCT, RPSGT, clinical coordinator of neurophysiology and the Hoops Family Children’s Sleep Disorders Center. “Our staff works very hard to achieve such high standards not seen in many labs.”

ABRET accreditation is awarded to laboratories that meet or exceed nationally recognized standards for patient care, technical performance and safety in neurodiagnostic testing. The reaccreditation process includes a comprehensive review of lab procedures, personnel qualifications and ongoing quality assurance measures.
